Description

This is such a cool piece--we didn't know about lava cameos until this came into our store! In good antique condition. Its wear is consistent with age and use. The brass framing has some small areas of verdigris. The shank is unusual and could possibly be gold. We have had a couple of low carat antique gold pieces, and that hue of gold is similar to ours. We weren't able to test it well, however. It is non-magnetic, did not tarnish at all in vinegar, and melted ice quickly. Again, we cannot guarantee it is gold, and we are pricing our cameo based on it NOT being gold. A wonderful addition to any collection. Please see photos for more detail.
