Description
This very unusual, and very large 19th century button is silverplated copper. It measures 1 3/4 inches long, 1 3/8 inches wide, and 3/4 inch tall. The shank is brass with the silver/copper plating worn away with use. The condition overall is excellent. There are no dents, warps, breaks, or other flaws. There is normal wear indicated, with a bit of rosy copper showing through those spots that had the most wear. This antique button weighs 18.9 grams. It is circa 1880/1900. There are no markings or signatures.
