RARE Antique Ridgway Pottery 1873-1879 Transferware Pitcher/Jug, Marked RSR 13 with a rare Cornflower pattern, also marked on the bottom. Only similar item like this is in the Brooklyn Museum of Art, donated in 1999. No other pottery marked RSR has been sold in the past 15 years on the open market. This pitcher is not the usual blue and white transferware, but is black and white with a light green glaze. Very unique piece. No chips or cracks. It was originally made to go with a matching basin as a set. Item will be shipped with a extra shipping insurance in Priority Mail marked Fragile, double boxed, and multiple layers of bubble wrap to ensure safe arrival. RSR stands for Ridgway Sparks and Ridgway. Pitcher was made in the United Kingdom between 1873-1879.
