SELLING UNUSUAL AND RARE ITEMS ON EBAY FOR 24 YEARS-QUALITY, NOT QUANTITY! - A very unusual, early, table lamp, from 1920's ? The main feature of the lamp is 3-D flowers, buds, leaves and other floral pieces that are made of some unknown material. The lamp was in storage for about 40 years, and the previous owner had said that a couple antique dealers had looked at it many years ago. At that time the dealers had said that they thought the floral arrangements on the lamp were made of gutta percha or maybe bakelite. The material has stood up very well over the years, considering everything. The finial was in a small cloth bag with some chips [see photo] that, apparently, came off of it years ago. The finial looks like a small flower bloom or bud, and appears in nice condition, if you didn't know there were chips off it. The chips will be included, as someone might be able to use some adhesive to improve the final look of the finial. The cord needs replaced before use, as it is badly oxidized. Appears to be an easy re-wire job. The only identification on the lamp of any kind is a partial tiny tag on the cord. It is mostly gone, but you can tell it had four lines of print on it. On the bo ttom line, you can read the letters COLLYERI.W.CO. The lamp base is plaster, or chalk ware. The shade is probably the original [ silk ?]and is in very good condition, with only a couple of small tears on the inside, that are not visible from outside. Lamp is 22 inches tall, without the finial. Will be VERY well packed and insured. Selling as is. Can send more photos on request.
