Description

Presenting a ultra rare 14k solid gold push button retracting tape measure. Just push the button! It works perfectly. It is engraved A.A. du P.P. Probably custom made by Lufkin in the first half of the 20th century and gifted by P.P. to A.A. The solid gold case has light wear. No dents. Easily polished out by a jeweler if desired. The ultra thin 36” Lukin metal tape has inches on one side and 100ths on the other side. There are a couple very very minor dents to the tape only mentioned for accuracy as the tape is in excellent condition. The measuring tape has a gross weight of 1.5 oz or 42 grams. We attempted to weigh with tape fully extended and off the scale. We get a weight of the case without the tape of approx. 36 grams. I have no idea what the weight of the spring mechanism might be. I can only assume there is an approximate ounce plus of gold to the case with a value of 1400.00 to 1500.00 or more. I cannot guarantee the gold weight and not selling for the gold weight.
